Prosperity

Our ability to prosper and receive the promises of God has to do with our renewed hearts and minds.

We prosper first on the inside before our prosperity manifests on the outside. As the apostle John said, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 2, NKJV). Man is a triune being. We are made of body, soul, and spirit. What happens in our hearts and minds - mental and emotional states - Is the soul realm. How much you prosper physically, spiritually, emotionally, relationally, and financially depends on the condition of your soul. Out of the soul flows either the fruit of the Spirit or the works of the flesh (Gal. 5:19-23). Our souls display the fruit of the Spirit, when our souls come under the control of the Spirit of God. He gains access to us through our spirits. Proverbs 20:27 says, “the spirit (conscience) of man is the lamp of the Lord, searching and examining all the inner most parts of his being” (AMP). And in Romans 8:14-16 we read, “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.”
